Position Summary:
Accountable for maintaining the Inpatient Unit, and Charleston Office if needed, in a sanitary, orderly fashion. This position is expected to report any defects or repairs needed to maintain the physical appearance of the Inpatient Unit and/or Charleston Office. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months’ housekeeping experience in healthcare setting preferred.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, and bodily fluids.
- Possible exposure to infectious diseases.
- Indoor and outdoor work depending as required.
- Varying temperatures and humidity levels.
- Required use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment, tools, or machinery.
