HospiceCare is proud to offer a new state-certified Palliative Respite Care Program for chronically-ill patients and their families in need of custodial care. Palliative care patients living with a serious illness can now receive 5-7 days of custodial care each month at our Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston and Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, based on availability. Respite care patients are not confined to their room, family and friends can visit, meals are provided, and they can enjoy all the comforts of home our in-patient units have to offer – a full-kitchen and family room, small sitting rooms, Wi-Fi and computer access, as well as beautiful gardens and grounds.This new program is private pay only, not billable to Medicare, Medicaid or insurance.
