Hubbard Hospice House

The Hubbard Hospice House is a spacious 24-bed facility located in Charleston, WV. The convenient and peaceful location provides a retreat for patients and families. We welcome families, including children, at any time. The beautifully landscaped mountain-top property is perched just above the city overlooking the Kanawha Valley. Nurses and certified nursing assistants are available around the clock to provide care. Social workers, counselors and chaplains tend to the counseling and spiritual needs of the patient and families. Our doctors regularly visit the patients and are on call 24 hours a day. Volunteers also are available to make the patient and families as comfortable as possible. Hubbard Hospice House is appropriate for patients who:

• Require more intensive, skilled medical care than can be provided in their home or place of residence;
• Need respite care to give their family a short rest from providing care at home; or
• Do not have a caregiver in the home and can no longer safely live alone.

• Large, private patient rooms, each with its own bathroom, refrigerator, TV, phone and comfortable seating
• Great room with fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating
• Fully equipped kitchen that families can use
• Dining room where lunch may be purchased
• Family rooms as well as other sitting areas throughout the facility

• Outdoor features include a gazebo, porches and playground
