Peyton Hospice House is an eight-bed facility located in Lewisburg, WV to serve the south-eastern part of our state and surrounding areas. Families, including children, are welcome anytime. Nestled in the heart of the Greenbrier Valley, the Peyton Hospice House provides a peaceful retreat for patients and families. Nurses and certified nursing assistants are available around the clock to provide care. Social workers, counselors and chaplains tend to the counseling and spiritual needs of the patient and families. Our doctors regularly visit the patients and are on call 24 hours a day. Volunteers also are available to make the patient and families as comfortable as possible. Peyton Hospice House is appropriate for patients who:

  • Require more intensive, skilled medical care than can be provided in their home or place of residence;
  • Need respite care to give their family a short rest from providing care at home; or
  • Do not have a caregiver in the home and can no longer safely live alone.
